Our Vision:

Maintain that unique quality of life in Tolland that drew us here and causes us to stay.  Each of us should be proud to say that we are from Tolland.   A nice place to live...a safe place for our families...a community that cares...a place where all our dreams can be realized.

Balance competing interests and needs:

Provide municipal and educational services at a reasonable cost.   Tolland needs to maintain what it has, while adding additional facilities to address current needs and keep pace with its growth.   Honestly and openly communicate these needs to all residents.

Leadership:

Recognize that as public officials, we are not a group apart but rather represent the needs, wants, fears, hopes and aspirations of an entire community.   Exhibit the courage to make difficult decisions; exercise sound judgement in all that we do; maintain high ethical standards; and show dedication to the job at hand.

Respect and dignity:

Treat all residents, employees and volunteers with respect and dignity.   Act in such a way that you will see that we are taking care of business - your business.
